3 Mil X II is bushy type hybrid pearl millet with high yield potential which is achieved very quickly being only 63 days to the boot stage. 3 Mil X II has a high level of tolerance to many pathogens and high humidity, but cannot tolerate standing surface water. 3 Mil X II can be grown on as little as 16 inches of water, however greater tonnage will be produced with greater water availability.
3 Mil X II’s bushy type plant stature means that the forage produced is virtually all leaves. This high leaf mass gives 3 Mil X II high crude protein concentrations and high TDN values.

3 Mil X II
is usually planted between June 10 and July 10 in
the northern states.
Can be no-tilled into the
stubble of winter and spring crops.
Planting
depth should be ½”.
Harvest:
3 Mil X II is usually harvested
63-66 days after seeding.
Protein will not
decline as harvest is delayed due to the extremely
high leaf to stem ratio.
